Board Certified Attorney
June 1, 2018
The Florida Bar has recognized Richard Larsen, CEO and founding shareholder of Larsen & Associates, P.L., for his special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in Condominium and Planned Development Law.
Mr. Larsen is among the first to be awarded board certification in Condominium and Planned Development Law by the Florida Bar.
With over 100,000 licensed attorneys in the state of Florida, only 129 received board certification in this area of law.
In order to be identified to the public as board certified in Condominium and Planned Development Law, lawyers must:
(1) have the character, ethics, and reputation for professionalism;
(2) practice law in the development of common interest real property, and the formation, representation, and regulation of community associations; and
(3) possess special knowledge, skills, and proficiency.
Prior to applying for board certification, an attorney is required to practice Condominium and Planned Development Law for at least 5 years.
Additionally, they must be able to demonstrate continuous and substantial involvement and practical experience in the practice of law.
Furthermore, the applicant must submit 5 individuals as references, as well as completed a minimum of 50 credit hours of approved continuing legal education in Condominium and Planned Development Law.
Having been substantially involved in Condominium and Planned Development Law for over 20 years, Mr. Larsen was exempt from the otherwise mandatory examination.
We are proud to congratulate Rick on this momentous honor bestowed by the Florida Bar and this accomplishment proves yet another way in which Larsen achieves excellence.
